EQUIPMENT  - GFK reinforced glass fibre bodyshell, perspex wind deflector, bucket seats, original Spyder and Porsche emblems and grills, chrome bonnet catches, bullet wing mirror, wooden Mountney steering wheel, TSR 4 point seatbelts, passenger grab handle, passenger foot brace, immobilizer, rev counter, fuel, oil and temperature gauge, dash mounted rear view mirror (smaller also available), moulded door pockets, horn, winter tonneau cover and additional bespoke drivers tonneau cover, rear bonnet lock.

EXTERIOR - Finished in metallic silver; there is absolutely no hiding in this head turner car.  The sleek appearance is gorgeous at any angle drawing much admiration from onlookers who can’t stop staring at the flowing lines. The light weight bodyshell does now show small signs of age but, really does not detract from the overall appearance. Disappointingly, the paint has not been finished under the front arches. The Porsche badges and rear grills are original Porsche equipment sourced by the previous meticulous owner who also added the iconic front fuel filler cap. The actual tank is at the rear with a locking fuel cap.

INTERIOR - Once seated the Speedster style seats offer cozy support and looking over the wooden Mountney steering wheel should give anyone a real buzz. Securely fastened by the 4 point TSR racing seatbelts, the driving position is fantastic and the lack of creature comforts is soon forgotten. That said, the engineering previous owner has fitted an after-market heater to blast once the tonneau is in place. Winter driving therefore still possible - with a grin.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION - Rear mounted and running a 4 in-line cylinder Skoda engine offering 1289cc (1.3 litre) producing a sprightly 61 bhp and 100Nm / 74 ft.lb /10.2 kgm @ 3000 rpm of torque. The quoted 95 mph must feel like considerably more. The original 5 speed Skoda gearbox works well with recent clutch master and slave cylinders replaced.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES - Authentic Porsche style 550 reproduction chrome wheels are shod in Gislaved Speed T 165/R15 tyres with plenty of tread. Brakes are standard Skoda Rapid 136

HISTORY FILE - This Banham Spyder Replica was first UK registered on the 1st of August 1991 with six owners between then and 2010. It was then exported to Germany with the last owner spending the next 3 years bringing the car up to its present restored condition. It was presented to the vigorous German TUEV test in July 2013 for its first registration inspection (far more in-depth than any MOT test) where the car was given a green light of approval with literally zero advisories. A credit to the owner and all those hours in the garage! Sparingly used since landing in German (a mere 1500 miles) and then only in clear blue sky days, the car is now back on the market and ready for repatriation to the UK.

Price includes shipping to the UK and a new MOT
