GermanyHistory File
Jaguar Heritage have confirmed that our XJS Convertible was built just 6 days before the final car was produced and therefore number 144 from the end of the line. The documented history shows the single US owner used the car sparingly, with the car leaving the US in 2011 with only 70,287 miles. The second owner, who imported the car to the UK in 2011, clearly did not fulfil his goal as the car is sold in 2015 with 70,327 miles to the respected Jaguar Specialist, David Marks in Nottingham, who expertly maintained the car before it would arrive in Germany in 2017 with just 71,500 miles. Cathedral Classics completed the German registration process before selling to its first German owner who has since cherished and maintained the car well before selling again for age related reasons. This stunning big cat will suit any Jaguar aficionado’s collection and is certainly a car to be enjoyed now and will undoubtedly be a long term collectable prospect.
Exterior
Our 2+ 2 Grand Tourer convertible is unmistakable in its classic combination of BRG – British Racing Green and Beige convertible roof. The mohair hood is tight and in wonderful condition as is the rear tonneau cover. The revised rear light cluster confirms the cars late production period. Fresh paint has been applied to the front and rear, but clearly some time ago, and there are now a few time related paint blemishes to accept, so viewing is always recommended; but there is nothing that should offend. This particular example was converted to twin headlights when first imported to Germany in 2017.
Interior
Finished in ‘Coffee’ leather with beige piping, this interior is a great place to be on a beautiful summer’s day. The rear (2 +2) seats are just as they left the factory. The electric six way, 2 way memory, heated front seats and cruise control make that planned journey to the south of France sound very inviting. The air conditioning has also been recently serviced. The headlining is tight and in lovely condition. The combined wood / leather steering wheel with original Jaguar embossed mats are all in superb condition.

Engine & Transmission
The smooth 4.0 AJ16 engine, 4 speed automatic electronic ZF4HP24E transmission cruises well and is known for being a much better ride than its AJ6 predecessor. With such low mileage, the car is probably only just run in. The car is offered with a Jaguar Specialist inspection before delivery.
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
The original factory ’11 Slot’ 16 x 7 alloys are all in good condition with almost new TOYO Proxes CF1 225/60 R16 tyres displaying plenty of tread. The car pulls up nice and straight and with ease.
