The Jaguar XK150 is a classic sports car produced by Jaguar from 1957 to 1961, succeeding the XK140. Of the 2,265 Open 2 Seater Roadster versions built, only 888 featured the high-performance 150S 3.4 Litre engine, delivering 250 bhp (186 kW; 253 PS). This specific model was manufactured on November 6, 1958, and shipped to Jaguar Cars in New York on November 17, 1958, with its first owner being Mr. H. Okoda from New York.

This matching numbers car (confirmed by its Heritage Certificate) has Chassis number: T831688DN and Engine number: VS1437-9. It is an exceptionally well-preserved example, showing a very low mileage of 65,447. In 2009, it underwent a complete engine overhaul by marque specialist Roger Morrison in Salina, Kansas, before being returned to Europe. It then became part of a prestigious classic car collection maintained by Finest Sports & Historic Cars in Lingen, North Germany. It is a true survivor which still bares its original coat of Coventry British Racing Green paint and is definitely one for the drivers of this world.

This XK150 is a genuine survivor from its era, with its original British Racing Green paint still in superb condition despite its 56 years. While there are understandably several paint blemishes, they add to the car’s character and authenticity. For instance, the driver’s door handle area shows wear from 56 years of use, a testament to its history. The original Fawn hood has been replaced with a black one, which is the only aspect that might benefit from restoration, ideally returning to the original Fawn color. However, it still retains its factory-original frame. The Body Number: F16654 is nicely depicted in our below display.

The interior offers a beautiful blend of originality and restoration. The original carpets remain, complemented by newly covered Tan leather seats and door cappings. This interior encapsulates the pure 1950s ‘super car’ environment that was ahead of its time, offering competitive luxury and style. Additional original features include the tool roll and tools, the original boot-liner (recently replaced), front screen carpet and rubber seals, and a period radio. All these elements contribute to the car’s high-quality, authentic 1950s charm.

Engine & Transmission

This matching numbers car, with Engine number: VS1437-9 and Gearbox number: JLS42025JS, was meticulously maintained to ensure mechanical excellence while preserving originality. It underwent a complete engine overhaul in 2009 by Roger Morrison of Salina, Kansas, before leaving the USA. Further extensive mechanical work, including a full carburetor overhaul, was completed in 2020 by Racing Green Engineering in the Netherlands. On-going maintenance over the past decade has been managed by Finest Sports & Historic Cars in Lingen, North Germany.

Wheels & Tyres

The car is equipped with Michelin 16” tyres, mounted on a full set of five gleaming chrome wire wheels, featuring Jaguar emblem wing-nuts.
